Tadeusz Kościuszko was a graduate from National Defense University.
Andrzej Tadeusz Bonawentura Kościuszko (1746 - 1817) was a Polish, Belarusian and Lithuanian national hero, general, and leader of the Kościuszko Uprising (1794) against the Russian Empire. He had earlier fought in the American Revolutionary War as a colonel in the Continental Army. In 1783, in recognition of his dedicated service, he had been brevetted by the Continental Congress to the rank of Brigadier General, and that same year he had become a naturalized citizen of the United States. There are several Anglicized spellings for his name, the most frequently-used being "Thaddeus Kosciusko" though the full "Andrew Thaddeus Bonaventure Kosciusko" also appears in some texts. In Lithuanian, his name is spelled Tadas Koscius˙ka. In Belarusian, it is Tadevus Kaściuska. ContactAl. gen. A. There are some good reasons why I had chosen a Polish military academy. First of all the National Defence Academy is the highest ranking military school in Poland, and it is kept in high esteem in China. Secondly, studies here include courses in Polish language; knowledge of this language will be an additional asset when my promotion to a higher post is considered.Li Xiaofeng, Land Forces Faculty, China
